Riot of Spring is a starting point for Transpectivism. It’s a painting that never settles — colours shift, gestures collide, and shapes appear only to change again. The painting comes alive as you move and look. Warm and cool tones push against each other, layers reveal traces of earlier decisions, and meaning grows out of your own response. Rather than telling a story, the work invites you into a living field of energy and perception. It’s less about what you see, and more about how seeing itself unfolds. It is the first panel of the Transpective Tesseract — a four-panel work that explores transpectivism. I painted it at a point when I was thinking hard about how we see, and what happens in the instant before we decide what we're looking at.
